Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 July 2026

These Terms of Service apply to your use of RPH Log Analyzer, including the desktop application, website, update, maintenance and detection/rule services, log analysis features, the Online plugin checkup, anonymous usage statistics, and the optional Share, log donation, AI live chat, and Support features.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using RPH Log Analyzer, you agree to these Terms and any End User Licence Agreement shown during installation or first launch. If you do not agree, do not install or use the application.

1. About RPH Log Analyzer

RPH Log Analyzer is a troubleshooting utility that helps you analyse RAGE Plugin Hook, LSPDFR, mod, plugin, and related game log files, check your plugins against a community plugin database, and optionally check your PC and GTA V folder for common setup problems.

The application provides automated guidance only. It may help identify common issues, but it is not guaranteed to detect every issue or to provide a correct fix.

2. Independent third-party tool

RPH Log Analyzer is an independent, third-party utility. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or supported by RAGE Plugin Hook, LSPDFR, Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or any other game, mod, plugin, or software provider. The plugin database used by the Online plugin checkup is operated independently by SuperPyroManiac and the LSPDFR community.

All trademarks, product names, game names, and related marks remain the property of their respective owners.

3. Licence

Subject to these Terms and the End User Licence Agreement, you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download, install, and use RPH Log Analyzer for personal troubleshooting purposes.

You must not:

  • sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, re-host, or commercially exploit the application;
  • copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from the application;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it, except where the law expressly allows;
  • bypass licence, update, security, rate-limit, or access controls;
  • use the application to interfere with, damage, or overload any service, including the plugin-database partner's;
  • use the application for unlawful, abusive, misleading, or harmful purposes.

4. Local analysis and the System check

RPH Log Analyzer reads the log file you select to identify known issues and provide guidance. Turning the Online plugin checkup off stops that checkup upload. If log donation is also off (as it is by default), analysis runs entirely on your device and your log is not uploaded.

The optional System check reads your PC (the Windows registry) and your GTA V folder on a read-only basis to look for common setup problems. It runs entirely on your computer and transmits nothing.

5. Online plugin checkup

The Online plugin checkup is on by default. When it is on, each log you analyze is sent to the LSPDFR Helper plugin database (operated by SuperPyroManiac and the LSPDFR community) to check which of your plugins are outdated, missing, or known to cause problems.

  • Before the log is sent, the application automatically removes your Windows username and any email addresses.
  • The log is transmitted over an encrypted connection through our own server, is used only to produce your result, and is not stored by us.
  • You can turn the checkup off in Settings at any time to stop checkup uploads and use the local analysis engine. Log donation is controlled separately and is off by default.
  • The checkup may be temporarily unavailable, or disabled for maintenance, and the application will fall back to local analysis.

Automated removal of identifiers is a convenience, not a guarantee. You are responsible for the logs you choose to analyze with the checkup on; if a log may contain sensitive data written by a third-party mod, turn the checkup off first.

6. Anonymous usage statistics

The application is on by defaultto send a small, anonymous summary after each analysis: the application version, the detected game / RAGE Plugin Hook / LSPDFR versions, the game edition, a rounded plugin count, whether a crash was detected, and whether the online checkup was used. Our server also records the request's country as a two-letter code derived from the connection by our hosting provider's network; the IP address itself is not stored with the summary, and nothing finer than country is kept. The summary contains no log data, no file paths, no Windows username, no plugin names, and no identifier for you or your device. You can turn it off at any time under Settings → Usage statistics.

7. Sharing reports (optional)

The Share feature is off by default and is enabled in Settings. When you use it, you choose what to include for that share: the analysis report only, or the report together with your full RagePluginHook.log.

  • Whatever you choose is encrypted on your device before it is uploaded. The decryption key is contained only within the share link itself and is never sent to our servers, so we cannot read the contents of a shared report.
  • A share link works for 7 days and is then automatically deleted. Turning the Share feature off deletes the links you have created, so they stop working.
  • Before uploading, the application automatically removes your Windows username, computer name, email addresses, and the folder path to your log (showing only the file name).
  • Anyone who has the full link can open the shared report, so only send links to people you trust.

You are responsible for what you share. Automated removal of identifiers is a convenience, not a guarantee. You should review the report before sharing and must not share anything that contains passwords, licence keys, access tokens, private messages, personal information, account or server credentials, payment details, confidential information, or anything you do not have permission to share — for example if a third-party mod has written such data into your log.

8. Donating crash logs (optional)

Crash-log donation (the Help improve crash detection setting, under Settings → Analysis) is off by default. It is enabled only after you turn it on in Settings and explicitly agree to the in-app disclosure.

When enabled, the application may donate a log only if it detects a crash, whether or not the final combined analysis identifies a specific diagnosis. Clean sessions are never donated. Before upload the application sanitizes the raw log, compresses it, and sends it over an encrypted connection; the server sanitizes it again and stores only the server-sanitized, recompressed copy.

  • Unlike end-to-end encrypted Share content, donated logs are readable by authorised RPH Log Analyzer maintainers.
  • Donated logs are stored securely in a private Supabase corpus and used only to validate existing diagnoses, group and investigate recurring unknown crashes, and improve detection rules. Diagnosed samples are kept outside the unknown-crash triage queue.
  • Limited verdict metadata may accompany a donation: privacy-safe client and server crash fingerprints, application and detection-engine versions, whether the app found a diagnosis, at most one matched internal rule identifier, and maximum severity. Loaded plugin names, file paths, and plugin lists are not sent as separate donation metadata, although technical details already present in the sanitized log may remain in its text.
  • A random device identifier is used for abuse limits, occurrence accounting, and deletion. Hosting providers also process standard connection data such as IP address and timestamp.
  • Automated sanitization removes common identifiers, paths, credentials, and secrets but is a precaution, not a guarantee. Do not enable donation for logs you are not permitted to provide or that may contain sensitive information.
  • Donated logs are kept for no more than 180 days and may be purged earlier when the entry is no longer needed.

Turning donation off stops future eligible uploads but does not delete earlier donations. You can ask us at any time (via rphlogs.com/support) to remove this device's donation records; the donation toggle is unaffected.

9. AI live chat on Discord (optional)

When available (the feature can be switched on or off remotely), the report may show an AI help button. Nothing is sent unless you click it. Clicking it sends, over an encrypted connection: a short summary of the analysis (detected versions and issue descriptions) and an excerpt of your log that the application sanitizes on your device first, with the server sanitizing it again before storing anything. In return you receive a one-time code that expires within about 30 minutes if unused.

To chat, you join our Discord server and give the code to our support bot. Before a chat thread is opened you must confirm, in Discord, that you accept these Terms and the notices below; if you decline, nothing further is sent and your code is not used. The bot then opens a private thread and answers using an AI assistant informed by your submitted analysis. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's own terms and privacy policy. AI conversations are processed by a third-party AI provider (currently OpenAI) via our systems; the provider receives the conversation text and the submitted analysis and excerpt, never your device identifier or IP address as recorded by us.

  • The AI provides automated guidance only. It can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Review its advice and back up files before making changes — you act on it at your own risk.
  • Conversations are logged and stored. Chat transcripts, submitted analyses, excerpts, and your helpful / not helpful ratings are stored together with your Discord username and user ID, may be reviewed by authorised maintainers (a notice of each new conversation is posted to a private operator channel), and are used to improve and further train the AI assistant — for example to refine its instructions, reference knowledge, and detection rules. Improvement lessons distilled from conversations are adopted only after human review and contain no conversation text, usernames, or logs.
  • If you attach a log file inside the chat thread, it is sanitized by our systems the same way as the original excerpt, stored with the conversation, and used to inform the assistant's answers; the same review and improvement uses apply.
  • Messages and uploaded files are screened by an automated content filter (OpenAI's moderation service). If content is flagged, the conversation is closed immediately and your Discord account can be blocked from the feature while the case is reviewed by the operators.
  • Conversations are limited in length and frequency (including one active conversation at a time and a daily conversation cap), may be closed after inactivity, and the feature may be rate-limited, disabled, or withdrawn at any time.
  • Submitted analyses, excerpts, uploaded logs, conversation transcripts, and ratings are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically; abuse-prevention records (such as account blocks) are kept until reviewed and resolved, and approved improvements derived from conversations (such as refined instructions or detection rules) do not contain your conversations or logs.
  • Do not submit a log that may contain sensitive data, and do not paste passwords, keys, personal or confidential information into the chat.
  • Do not attempt to make the assistant ignore its instructions, produce unrelated content, or exceed usage limits.

10. Support cases (optional)

You may open a support case on our website at rphlogs.com/support. The subject, description, and optional contact you provide are sent to our server, together with the application version you report, so we can investigate and reply through the contact you provided. Do not include passwords, sensitive, private, or confidential information in a support case, and do not attach a log unless you have reviewed it. Cases are removed after they are resolved.

11. Device identifier and rate limiting

To protect Share, log donation, translation, and AI live chat from spam, abuse, and excessive use, the application generates a random, anonymous device identifier, stored on your computer. It contains no personal information and is not used to identify you.

The device identifier is sent only with share/revoke, donation/deletion, translation, and AI chat code requests, and is used only to:

  • limit how many share links, donations, translations, or AI chat codes a device can create;
  • prevent spam or abuse and protect service availability;
  • let you delete the share links and donated-log records created by your device.

You must not attempt to bypass device identification, rate limits, abuse prevention, or security controls.

12. Feedback

If you voluntarily contact us (for example through rphlogs.com/support or a support case) with feedback, bug reports, or suggestions, you agree we may use that feedback to improve the application, its detection guidance, and its documentation, without obligation or payment to you. Do not include sensitive, private, or confidential information in any feedback.

13. Updates and network requests

The application makes small automatic requests on startup for application versions, maintenance status, capsule trust policy, and detection/rule updates. These send no log or user content; where needed they send only the application's own version number, and they are skipped if you are offline. In addition, while enabled, the Online plugin checkup sends your scrubbed log for each analysis, anonymous usage statistics send a non-identifying summary, and log donation sends only eligible sanitized crash logs. Share and AI live chat make requests only when you use them. If the application encounters an internal error, a diagnostic file may be written locally to %LocalAppData%\RPHLogAnalyzer and is never transmitted.

You are responsible for keeping the application updated. Older versions may contain bugs, missing detections, or outdated guidance.

14. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • choosing which files to analyse, whether to leave the Online plugin checkup or log donation on for a given log, and what, if anything, to share, donate, or submit to AI chat;
  • reviewing a report before sharing it;
  • reviewing suggested fixes before applying them, and backing up files before making changes;
  • ensuring your use complies with applicable laws and third-party terms;
  • deciding whether the guidance is appropriate for your setup.

You should not rely on RPH Log Analyzer as your only source of troubleshooting advice.

15. No warranty

RPH Log Analyzer is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that: the application will be error-free; detections will be accurate or complete; suggested fixes or AI chat answers will resolve your issue or be correct; the application, Online plugin checkup, donation corpus, Share service, or AI live chat will be available at all times; sanitization will remove every unexpected sensitive value; or that the application will be compatible with all systems, mods, plugins, game versions, or configurations.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Burnsie / RPH Log Analyzer is not liable for any loss, damage, claim, cost, or expense arising from your use of the application or reliance on its guidance or on AI chat answers, including: game, mod, or plugin issues; lost data; corrupted files; downtime; failed troubleshooting; incorrect detections; any disclosure resulting from content you chose to analyze online, share, donate, or submit to AI chat; or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

17. Suspension or restriction

We may restrict, rate-limit, or disable access to online features (such as the Online plugin checkup, donation, sharing, AI live chat, or support) if we believe there is misuse, abuse, excessive activity, attempted bypassing of controls, a security risk, or a breach of these Terms.

18. Changes

We may update the application, its features, detection guidance, online services, these Terms, or the Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we may provide notice through the application or website. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You agree that the courts of Queensland, Australia have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
